Bible Study - Disciple

Do You Hunger for a better understanding of the Word of God and desire a deeper fellowship through prayer and study with other Christians? Based on the small group model of Jesus and the 12 disciples, these nine-month explorations of the scriptures are aimed at developing strong Christian leaders using trained teachers.

With the Bible as the primary text, the two-hour sessions consist of a 20-minute video feature presented by a Bible scholar along with a group discussion. A daily commitment of 30-45 minutes of personal Bible study is required of each participant. Seasonal breaks are arranged during holidays. Graduates receive a certificate from their church.

The Courses

Six Bible study classes in the DISCIPLE and Christian Believer series are offered cooperatively among five United Methodist churches in Irving, Texas. beginning the first week of September and then continuing through May. An exception to this is the schedule is the Short-Term Disciple Bible Study class which meets for eight weeks for those who are unable to attend full-time studies.
