Programs for All Ages Opportunities for YOU! Have you ever considered working with children? VBS is coming up in July! Also, there may be a place for you on a Sunday School teaching team this year! Programs for Children 

 SONRISE Village

Kindergarten through 5th grade - an exciting learning environment in Sunday School.

 Preschool Sunday School

Infants - 4 years; grouped by age.

 Nursery

Available for worship services and most other events.

 Parents Day Out

Infants through preschool children on Tuesday and Thursday, 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Summer classes for children 5-10 years. For more information, please call Debbie Robinson at 972-259-2051 on Tuesday or Thursday. Also check the Parents Day Out web page for any additional information.

 IMPACT Summer Church Camp

Children grades 3-6 Summer IMPACT church camp at Camp Copass.  Monday, June 29 to Thursday, July 2.

(Camp Copass is just out of Denton, Texas. Take 35 North to Loop 288 (Golden Triangle Mall exit). travel East about 5 miles to E. McKinney St. and turn right. The Camp is near the end of the street.)

 Vacation Bible School

As always, our VBS 2009 was another one of great program offerings last year for our children's fun and learning experience! X-Station + (or X Station Plus) is patterned after a huge computerized video game and was a big hit!! You can register your child at the church or on our web site when VBS 2010 rolls around this summer.

Opportunities for Adults 

Bible Study Fellowships for Adults
(Note: Many of these are sequentially scheduled events and do not each year. Some have prerequisite programs. Please call the church office for details.)

• Alpha  a program where each session includes a meal, a presentation about basic Christian beliefs and small discussion groups. For new Christians and those seeking a better way of life. This class has a tentative schedule based on the number of prospective session members.

• DISCIPLE Bible Studies

  • Year 1; Genesis - Revelation, 34 weeks.
  • Year 2; Genesis - Exodus, Luke - Acts, 32 weeks .
  • Year 3; Prophets and Letters of Paul, 32 weeks.
  • Year 4; Old Testament writings. Gospel of John, Revelation, 32 weeks.
  • Year 5; Jesus in the Gospels, 30 weeks.
     
• Bible Reading Challenge - Read the entire bible through in one year from your favorite bible, on your PC, Smart-Phone or PDA!

• A Life Worth Living  Introductory Bible Study Group scheduled twice a year; tentative schedule, March and September




• Wednesday Night Bible Study  This Open Topic Bible Study Group meets on Wednesday nights in the Parlor. Class Leaders Darrow and Vicki Frazier. 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM. Open to Everyone. Contact Darrow or Vicki at 972-254-2808.




• Women's Bible Study  Women of the Bible with Heather Cawthon. Sundays, 5:00 – 6:30 p.m. In the Library

Golden Agers

A gathering for Senior adults.  Meets the third Friday of each month at 10 AM for games, crafts and a meal.  Contact Wanda Lanier 972-255-3127.

Travel Fellowship

The Travel Fellowship of FUMC Irving invites you, your family and friends to travel with us in a Christian Environment to interesting places at reasonable prices. See this years itinerary for local and global trips.

Wednesday Work Crew (WWC)

Meets at 7:30 AM on Wednesdays for fellowship and to do maintenance and upkeep on church facilities. Coffee and exceptional fellowship.
