Preschool
Classes (Toddlers - 4 yrs) are held in self-contained classrooms where children feel safe and
loved as they are taught Biblical stories.
During Sunday School times, nurseries are
provided for young children on the 2nd floor. The Toddlers and
the Twos have a bible lesson and craft activity in
Room 223. The Three
and four-year-olds have moved to SonRise Village to room
120 with the oher of the children.
Note: Nurseries are provided before and after Sunday School
for children ages infant through 5-years during all services of
worship.
SonRise Village
Elementary Children’s Sunday School is
located in the lower floor of the East Education Wing called
SonRise Village. Classes are divided into age level
classrooms where children arrive at 9:15 a.m. The 3 & 4 Year
Olds meet at the end of the hall in room 130. The First
Graders are next door in room 129. The Second Graders meet
in room 127, and the Third, Fourth and Fifth graders meet
together in room 123. We are using curriculum called BIBLE
IN LIFE, from David C. Cook publishing, and each age level
is taught by dedicated teachers.

304's Sunday Life Class
Some 30's, 40's and 50's, married and single, together in a class that is somewhat unconventional, a Sunday "un-school" class if you will. We use lots of DVD and video as part of the format, with timely, relevant lessons. The class meets in room 304.
*TBA Class
A class for young adults single, engaged, or married ranging
from early 20’s through 50’s. The class alternately studies
marriage and family topics, spiritual classics, and
interactive Bible studies often breaking out into small
group sessions. This is a fun group that enjoys fellowship
and lively conversations. (* Three Beginning Again)
College and Career
A class for college students or those
beginning a career. Emphasis is on Bible based topics. All young
people are invited to come and participate in good
fellowship and study together! Invite your friends, family,
acquaintances and even random young people you happen to
meet! All are Welcome!
Koinonia
A growing class of people with children (children's ages are
preschool through young adult). Fellowship, acceptance, love and compassion are important. Lessons emphasize Bible study. Monthly fun activities bring us closer to one another. Class members have formed an active prayer chain.
Seekers
This class is for those in their 30's and 40's.
Lessons emphasize Bible study.
Challengers
Couples and singles, whose ages range from
the 40's to the 60's. Enjoy a discussion format of Bible study, interspersed with contemporary subjects of interest.
Kum Doubles
Ages 50+ use Biblically-centered lessons
in a discussion format and enjoy the gospel in music. The class focuses on
service
projects supporting missions throughout the year. We have monthly parties
that culminate in a Christmas party everyone talks about for
weeks.
Pathfinders
Sunday school lessons come from the Adult Bible
Series utilizing both lectures and discussions. This caring group of people ages
late 50's+ enjoy eating and singing. Spring or fall retreats provide additional
opportunities for spiritual growth.
Questers
This is a class for those 50+, couples and
singles. Lessons are based on Bible study presented by a teacher.
Derol Todd Homebuilders
A class of b>couples and singles that
are 60+ years old. The lessons are from the Adult Bible Studies series with both
lecture and discussion. We share in the joys and concerns of all our members.
There is also social fun and fellowship. We support the Methodist Home, Irving
Cares, Visionaries and Crossroads.
Keystone
A class for single and married adults in
their 60's and beyond. They study the International Lesson Series. This
group enjoys outings and parties and supports many community
charitable organizations. They play a very important role in
the life of our church as many have called First United
Methodist Church of Irving home for a number of years.
